History: Ida lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Sumnes and her spouse have recently divorced.
