History: Born in the east to a Gardener, Balam learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His first spouse was a Mason, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Gardener responsibilities is difficult; and he feels threatened by others

Description: A woman with a friendly, welcoming air about her, she tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her hair, while still mostly silver, has prominent grey streaks. Her eyes are a pleasant hazel.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Barber but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Dara abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
