History: She comes from a rich northern family. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it

When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Warrior who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
