History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She worked as a nervous Carter and found it very stressful. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the west. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her poetry with anyone who is interested.

History: Grigi hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. A freak accident while working with her Healer mother left her crippled. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cartwright. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
