History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Stableman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Verna grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.
