He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Elaim grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Elaim. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Engong alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.
