History: Vistra lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Vistra grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Vistra. She has never given up on her music dream.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Traulam was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Traulam's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She became a Carter soon after.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Kite was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.
