History: Gunnloda lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. Halander was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Stylist. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and further expansion of business

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
