His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Silent took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up flail and armor he uses now. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His childhood dream was to be a Shipwright, but he was a colossal failure. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Laborer. Being a Laborer kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
