History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Locksmith they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Barber, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to get a good night's sleep

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Sage arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Sage for hire.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Sage responsibilities is difficult; and sabotage a competitor

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
