Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Dwarven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dwarven doctor. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and his religion dominates his actions

History: Rurik was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the west were limited. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has worked as a Seamstress like his father before him.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Howard isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. A true patriot, Howard would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
