History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Calcitro and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Tricking speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: The child of a Painter, who enjoyed hunting, Tricking was taken on many hunting expeditions. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
