History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Ratanák was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Ratanák decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Dalaba lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Baker. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
