History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Serpent alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Serpent was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Painter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Painter work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Painter and occasionally as a mercenary.
