History: Astar hails from a village terrorized by goblins. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family He found a children's book about a Dwarf Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story.
