History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: The child of a Scribe, who enjoyed hunting, Ida was taken on many hunting expeditions. In her 12th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Ida alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Recently the stress of being a Shoemaker has made it difficult for her to sleep.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Althaea and her spouse have recently divorced.
