History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gardain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
