Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Eloise was born with her mother's beautiful face. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is a Shoemaker first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Modean is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Tarhun was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
