History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A deep hatred of drow; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She was granted divine powers by her dying brother.
