He found a children's book about a Halfling Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature spear.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the north were limited. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
