History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Personality: She is overprotective of those who hire her services. The war was a terrible time for her, and Veloptima does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She is a Detective first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She has all her life been fascinated with writing.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Balifra was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Detective for hire.

History: He got into the Laborer business at a young age. When Uraim reached his early adolescence his Dwarf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Laborer for hire.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: Standing 6'4", this man typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep black leather and dull brown iron scale mail. His copper crest is lengthy and is close to two feet long. He has several tiny topaz earrings on each ear.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Roofer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.
