Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Gorfel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Gorfel was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Valida lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Valida grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Valida. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Painter they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Jeweler, and she later adopted a second daughter.
