She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Volen abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
