Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Forcas's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. The war was a terrible time for him, and Forcas does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Forcas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Mayor. He tends to his Mayor job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He got into the Tanner business at a young age. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Half-Elves.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
