She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying north to reunite her family. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
