During his travels, Burgell and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Burgell discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Burgell fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Traulam was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In her 17th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Mayor for hire.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Farmer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Mantus never married again.
