Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Phelaia never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Matilda fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gifted student she started as a Seamstress, but she got bored and became a Mercenary. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Raam grew up listening to his father's many stories. Raam was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Gardener. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
