History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Dyer. He has achieved small success as a Dyer.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and obtaining odd cultural elven artifacts is his passion

He found a children's book about a Halfling Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and to pay off his debts

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Faran's homeland. Faran decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Servant and occasionally as a mercenary.
