History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Maagog was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Maagog's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Maagog and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born to a Stableman, her father struggled to pay the bills. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Avice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

History: Shadow was born with his father's beautiful face. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
