He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. After a long history of fighting, Morkral and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. He became a Ruler soon after.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: She is a Fortune-teller first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
