Through the years after Emerald was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Emerald's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She saw the violence of war and the aftermath so she converted to religion and dedicated herself to non-violence.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
