History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Claira was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
