History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Alex alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: She is an average looking eastern female in her early mid-life. She is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright green and violet, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. Her chestnut hair has been sun bleached extensively. Her eyes are white and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Astaro grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bricklayer and was forced into it by her family; and she desires power and/or immortality

Description: This man is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down, and sports empty pouches on his belt. His chestnut hair is knotted and matted. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Marshal business.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Marshal. He's also a talented Bather, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Description: A woman with a warm, jovial air about her, she sports blue clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. Her hair, while still mostly white, has prominent grey streaks. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady amber eyes.

Personality: The woman has a huge range of feeling. She will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how she will be a better person from this day on. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: She was born in the west. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Energy wise she seems alert and responsive.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
