History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Broce was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
