History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Suhnae never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Vaina alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has never given up on his music dream.
