History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Arannis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Arannis. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
