History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Mella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. After months of barely getting by, Mella managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Her parents were killed by orcs in a raid when she was still a young child. The orcs captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Vaina was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.

History: Born in the west to a Blacksmith, Nurkara learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and her religion dominates her actions

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gerbo grew up listening to his father's many stories. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
