History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Menny was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Burgell hails from a village terrorized by giants. He worked as a nervous Miner and found it very stressful. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Shava abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and to reunite with her old friends

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Born in the south to a Navigator, Ront learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
