History: Umpen was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Fletcher, but he got bored and became a Layabout. He has worked as a Layabout like his father before him.

Description: A woman of a pale complexion, she wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. Her orange fur is heavily combed to the right. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She takes great joy in being the best Detective in town.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Detective work with an outfit from a few towns over. Detective work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She tends to her Detective job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Jade was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Many goblins want him driven away.

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). Her hair is chestnut and very short. Her hazel eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Isabella was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has worked as a Mason like her father before her.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He feeds upon the attention of others.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Courier for hire.

Motivation: He wants revenge against drow; and further expansion of business
