History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Avice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Roofer for the past few years.

History: Berrian was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Sorath was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
