Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents enrolled him in a Druid school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Description: This exceptionally lanky man tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. He has a long chestnut beard with little hanging trinkets. His eyes are likewise amber.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was born in the south. A gifted student he started as a Mayor, but he got bored and became a Ruler. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and balancing his hectic life and new ruler responsibilities is difficult

Description: She is perpetually draped in fineries, but all of this concealed by her earthly robes.. She is bristling with hidden weapons, mostly rapiers and morningstars. Her long chestnut hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. Her eyes are likewise brown. Her teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Elizabeth is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. After months of barely getting by, Elizabeth managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and wants to work out more often

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Dwarven companion (his 'brother'). In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
