History: The child of a Sculptor, who enjoyed hunting, Jak was taken on many hunting expeditions. Through the years after Jak was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Jak's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Being a Miller kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Nissa was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Andraste was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Warlock, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Warlock in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it
