History: Carlin lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bowyer they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Carpenter, and she later adopted a second son.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Ranala is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
