History: Born to a Sage, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the east were limited. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Borun never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Expand her business; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cartwright. He became a Cartwright soon after.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and obtaining odd cultural half-elven artifacts is his passion
