History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and regain custody of her daughter
