History: Patrin hails from a village terrorized by giants. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact

During her travels, Kasdeya and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Kasdeya discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Kasdeya fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
