History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Balam never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Nissa has worked very hard to control her curse. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
