History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Eberk alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. As she has aged she has sought to do reparations for her actions as a youth. She is also making sure that her compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: The child of a Navigator, who enjoyed hunting, Vanchu was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Vanchu grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Vanchu. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her painting with anyone who is interested.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Navigator and was forced into it by her family; and to reunite with her absent mother
