History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Althaea grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Althaea. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Leaf embodies much of what other species detest in the Tabaxis. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Leaf was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: He got into the Crown-heir business at a young age. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Crown-heir work with an outfit from a few towns over. Crown-heir work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.
