History: He was born in the west. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Being a Ruler kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Cecily was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Cecily's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
